Educator - Record Room Sleeps

Educator - Record Room Sleeps

The Sleep screen allows the user to communicate with the parent the quantity of sleep or rest periods their child has had, and the duration of these sleep/rest periods. This information shows up on the Parent App under the Daily Care screen.

To access this function, select Child > Daily Tasks > Classroom > Daily Care > Sleeping child icon

All children signed into the room room will be displayed on the screen with two options, 'Resting' or 'Asleep'.

The user taps on the relevant button to indicate 'Resting' or 'Asleep'.  The app will automatically set the date and time to the current time.

If the user has selected 'Resting', to indicate when the rest time has finished, the user clicks 'Resting' again to indicate the child is active again.
They will still be able to change the status to 'Asleep' if the child falls asleep, by clicking on the 'Asleep' option at any time.

If the user has selected 'Asleep', they will have two options; 'Check' and 'Woke Up'.
The user can select 'Check' multiple times and the child's sleep end time will only be recorded when the 'Woke Up' button is selected.
The time the child has been marked 'Asleep' will display until 'Woke up' is selected.

If the user has selected 'Woke up', this will indicate when the sleep time has finished by adding the current time as the time the child woke up.

The icon to the right hand side of each child shows the sleep record timeline of the child today.  (This can also be viewed on the child's profile page).

The Sleep information displays in chronological sequence with the rest of the child's activities for that day on the Parent App.

NOTE:
This feature is designed and recommended to be used in real time, however if the user needs to edit the information recorded retrospectively, they can do so via the Children tab, and clicking on the 3 small dots next to the child's name to gain access to the child's profile.
NOTE:
When the user selects the 'Check' option, this is for internal use only and the information does not go to the parent.  The icon on the right hand side will allow the educator to see what time the child has been checked.
