YCD - Learning Activities Summary page

The user is presented with a summary screen for activities implemented and planned for, by Room.  The user is able to see at a glance the first 3 lines of entry for each category.  The user can select the arrow on the right to expand the section to reveal more information.


1.  Montessori Education Summary (MES)

At the top of the home page, the user can select the right arrow to expand the Montessori Education Summary (MES). 
The user is presented with a grid detailing the Activity status of all children allocated to a room, per activity, at a glance.



The user is presented with the full list of Montessori activity titles, sorted in alphabetical order on the left hand side of the page and across the top of the grid are icons of all children's initials


The user can sort the activities by domain by clicking on the sort icon



The user is able to click on an activity on the left hand side to reveal the description of the activity and the suggested readiness indicator description.

The grid assists users to have an overall view of the room and the activities that children have been introduced to.

The user is able to use the grid coordinates to view a child and an activity and tap to add a readiness indicator or alternatively they can click to be taken to a template to record a new experience for the child.

To return to the overall summary, click the 'X' in the top right hand corner.

2.  Planned for Today
Users are able to create a plan by selecting the Intentional (Planned Learning Experiences) from the plus icon, bottom right of the screen.  Once a plan has been created, it will appear in the list in chronological order.  Only plans for the current week are displayed.

A user is able to 
a.  Access all Planned Learning Experiences by clicking the right arrow
b.  Access one of the current plans displayed by clicking on the Activity name.  The child's initials display to the left (unless there are more than one child listed in the activity and then the number of children displays), the Educators initials display on the right.  The template can be viewed by clicking on the name of the activity.



3.  Drafts to Finish
A user is able to start an Activity template and 'Save as Draft' for completion at a later time. 



Users are able to see the current week's Activity templates for a child that are waiting in draft form, and can click the right arrow to reveal the list of ALL drafts listed chronologically .  The child's initials display to the left, the Educators initials display on the right. 


Users are able to edit a draft template by clicking on it and filling in the missing information.  Once completed they will need to update the status by selecting from the scroll bar top left of the template. and choosing SAVE. 
a. If Implemented is selected, the Activity template will then move to the Implemented section, ready to be approved, then shared to parent.
b.  If Approved is selected, the Activity template will then move to the Approved section, ready to be shared to parent.

4.  Implemented
All templates that have been completed and implemented will be listed here with current week displayed, and the ability to click on the right arrow to reveal the full list.   From here Users are able Approve the Learning Experience, and to click the red arrow to share with parents.

5.  Approved
Some providers may have a process that involves an approval process before activity templates are shared with parents.    Educators may be required to always complete their work and save as Implemented, awaiting Approval. Please note, it is possible to Approve a Learning Experience as you first fill in the template. 



All templates that have been approved will be listed here with the current week displayed, and the ability to click on the right arrow to reveal the full list.   Users are able to click the red arrow to share the approved with parents.  Once shared the red arrow will be replaced with a green tick.




NOTE:  Activity templates are never sent immediately to parents.  Users will see a red arrow beside each activity name.  When selected, the user is able to see a view of what will be sent to the parent app.  If they are happy with the content they can tick to confirm that it is ready to be shared, or they can click the edit pencil at the top of the page to make any amendments prior to sharing. Once shared the red arrow will be replaced with a green tick.
